William Fillmore Papers

Collection consists of a DVD containing 581 images of photographs and documents related to the life of William Haydock Fillmore (1893-1966) who married into the Carr family of Edgecombe County, North Carolina. He founded and operated the Fillmore Flying Service in Oakland, California, in the late 1920s through the 1930s, was a barnstormer, a commanding officer in the Army Air Corps during World Wars I and II and the Korean War, and retired to a farm named Chosumneda in Edgecombe County.
